Memories in Olana's Landscape: Art and Inspiration in our Backyard

Explore the Art of Memory with The Olana Partnership!
Join Carolyn Keogh, Director of Education & Public Programs at The Olana Partnership, for "Memories in Olana's Landscape: Art and Inspiration in Our Backyards" on Thursday, October 3rd at 5:30 PM. This free workshop will dive into how 19th-century Hudson River School artists like Frederic Church found inspiration in the beautiful landscapes we still enjoy today.

Participants will explore how nature influenced Church's life and work, tied to Olana's current exhibition, Afterglow: Frederic Church & the Landscape of Memory. You’ll have the chance to create your own artwork, using sketching and watercolor, inspired by meaningful places in your life.

All materials provided. Come reflect on the connection between memory, nature, and artistic expression!
