The Spark of Hudson is committed to making our space accessible to all members of the Hudson community. This means that our pricing for space rentals is decided based on a variety of factors including usage and need. This page provides a look into our process for determining the price of rentals, as well as some of the programs we have in place to ensure The Spark of Hudson is within reach for all. Our rates typically fall between $75 and $200 an hour with options for reduced pricing through the Community Access Program.

Reduced Pricing Through The

Community Access Program

Our Community Access Program provides reduced rental rates to support people who cannot afford our standard pricing but would benefit from using our space. This program is available for local nonprofits serving the Hudson area and Hudson-area residents who may need extra flexibility with event costs.

If you’re considering applying for reduced pricing, here are a few questions to guide your decision:

Is your organization or event focused on benefiting Hudson-area residents?

Are you a Hudson resident organizing a personal event where the standard pricing may feel like a stretch?

Would reduced rental fees help you bring a valuable community or personal event to life that may otherwise be limited by budget?

If you would like to apply to the Community Access Program for your booking, simply fill out the Space Inquiry form and indicate your request in the relevant field.

Spark Affiliated Programing

If you're hosting an event that is free, open to the public, and in line with The Spark's mission, we may offer you the space free of charge, as Spark-affiliated programming. In return, we may request that you use our logo on your promotional materials or share photos of your event with us for use in our marketing materials.

The Spark of Hudson’s Mission:

We are dedicated to fostering learning, community development, and positive change. Through innovative programs, collaborative partnerships, and a commitment to developing replicable models, we strive to create sustainable solutions that address local needs while inspiring change on a broader scale.

Please note: a program that meets these criteria does not immediately qualify as Spark Affiliated. The Spark of Hudson maintains final say in which programs it partners with depending on a variety of factors.

Community stewards are individuals or organizations who do work aligned with The Spark’s mission and hold regular programming or events at The Spark Building. They are trained to access the building outside of regular hours, and exist independently in the space.

After a vetting and training process, community stewards receive reduced flat rate access to The Spark Building to hold meetings, gatherings, and events. To inquire about becoming a community steward, email hello@sparkofhudson.org with the subject line “Community Steward Inquiry.”
