Operation Passport

Being able to travel allows us to expand our horizons, make long-lasting memories, and grants us access to more knowledge.
— Mike Alert

Operation Passport came about during our Spark Social Events when attendees were asked about their wants, needs, and dreams. A topic we all think about daily, but rarely get a chance to talk about! Of all the responses shared, what kept coming up was travel.

Travel expands the mind through exposure to exotic sights, unique experiences, and new ways of thinking. However, for some members of our community, the documentation and costs of obtaining a passport made travel impossible. The Spark took action by walking community members through the administrative process; filling out forms, gathering personal documents, and arranging passport photo shoots. We also donated funds to cover application fees.

Thanks to our Support Crew at The Spark, 11 families were assisted, with 38 individuals of varying age, race, and gender receiving their first passports.

Bon voyage to The Spark’s new passport-holders!
