HudsonNEST: A Supportive Communal Housing Program for local Healthcare students

Are you a healthcare student in Hudson looking for an affordable and supportive living environment? We have fantastic news for you! Applications are now open for the HudsonNEST program, set to begin in September 2024.

Accommodation Details: Located on Warren Street, HudsonNest offers a two-floor residential space with seven suites, each featuring en suite bathrooms. The communal areas include a spacious kitchen and living space, designed to foster a collaborative and supportive environment among students.

Resident Assistant: To ensure you have all the support you need, a Resident Assistant (RA) who is a Columbia Greene graduate and currently a Registered Nurse in Hudson will live on-site. The RA is there to oversee the program and provide assistance whenever needed.

Program Benefits:

  • Subsidized Rent: One of the key benefits of the HudsonNest program is the significantly below-market rent of just $150 per month, including utilities. This initiative aims to alleviate financial stress, allowing students to concentrate on their studies and thrive in their academic pursuits.

  • Communal Living: The program encourages a communal living setup that promotes collaboration and support among students. Shared responsibilities in academics, transportation, and meal sharing are fostered to create a tightly-knit community.

Eligibility and Application:

  • Enrollment Requirements: The program is open to both full-time and part-time students enrolled in at least two courses in a healthcare program

  • Duration: Students can benefit from living in the suites for up to two years while they remain enrolled in the program.
