Free Support Group: Invitation to Change Approach

The Invitation to Change (ITC) Free Support Group is for people who care about someone struggling with substance use and want practical, compassionate ways to help. It is also open to anyone supporting a loved one with substance use or other compulsive behaviors.

The Invitation to Change (ITC) Approach helps families and professionals support a person struggling with substance use by offering evidence-based tools for change to everyone who cares about them. ITC takes the best science has to offer and translates it into a practical, compassionate, and accessible approach for helping.

These groups offer a space to share the difficult and often painful experiences that come with caring for a loved one, while also learning and practicing Invitation to Change (ITC) skills. Participants build tools for understanding substance use, communicating more effectively, and creating an environment that supports positive change.

ITC Free Support Groups meet weekly at The Spark of Hudson are led by trained peer facilitators who are required to complete a 27-hour training.
